It's a fictional account based on the battle of Malta. There really were 3 bi-planes referred to as Faith, Hope and Charity of which this story is based and they did contribute to the saving of Malta for the Allies. Throughout the entire war this island was a thorn in the side of the Axis and a lot of men died protecting and supplying it including civilians that suffered daily bombing raids and also paid the ultimate price.Product details

Interesting story about almost forgotten events during World War Two.
Nice enough to finish after I paid good money for it, but not riveting. Too predictable. I'm very interested in WWII and Malta's part in it, that why I bought it, but it didn't add anything to the knowledge I had.
This book is a work of fiction wound around fact.
Whilst Faith Hope and Charity hold their place in Malta's History one cannot forget the other Fighter pilots who gave their all at the time, I was a little dissapointed in this book. It was full of good things and as I was building a Couple of model Gladiators at the time it provided back ground, something was lacking and I don't know what. Still an ok read.
